Phillip B. Warbasse will welcome the attendees at GS2021 on behalf of Friends of the Stone Church, Inc. (FOSC). Phillip co-founded the group in 2014. He is the architect for the Stone Church preservation project and a member of the FOSC Board of Directors. (he is on the right side of the picture to the left.)
Cynthia Henshaw has been the Executive Director, at the East Quabbin Land Trust for 15 years and one of the first tasks she undertook was to lead the effort for EQLT to acquire 3.2 miles of the MCRT corridor. This included several bridges. EQLT is a cutting-edge leader in many ways that go beyond what most folks think of what a land trust might be doing.
Galen Mook Executive Director, MassBike has been in this position for three years and travels around the state meeting bike advocates. He has an extensive background in successful community organizing and MassBike has not only grown under his leadership but has become more fun. More here.
Rob Kusner is a mathematics professor at UMass Amherst and before serving on Amherst's Select Board, he led the town's Public Transportation & Bicycling Committee, to design the multi-use path joining the MCRT to the UMass Amherst campus, now known as Swift Way.
Rob helped found Norwottuck Network back in 1999 and recently as chair of the Norwottuck Rail Trail Advisory Committee, he guided the redesign and reconstruction for the MCRT's first segment through Amherst, Hadley and Northampton.
